Digital Sciences Institute has five broad “mission-oriented” application areas: Digital Agriculture, Digital grids, Digital transport, Digital materials, Digital health imaging, Digital blah. The application areas are the focus of economic and societal “grand challenges” being addressed nationally and globally, transforming every area of modern business and society. They involve research institutions, industry and government agencies well beyond the core digital domain.

<Links to separate pages for each application area to be added. Respective research groups to provide content describing current research. Highlight the multi-disciplinarity featuring researchers from disparate disciplines as well as industry engagement. Add images that reflect each area. Only Digital Agriculture has been populated.>
