The Digital Sciences Initiative proudly hosted the inaugural Digital Transformation Colloquium on campus on the 29th of May 2024! We had an incredible lineup of speakers and showcased 25 of our young researchers through a poster presentation session and 1min lightning talks.
Keynote speeches, theme talks, and panel discussions presented a great range of perspectives on the potential of digital transformation in Agriculture, Health, Energy, Infrastructure, and Society. Our DSI academics presented some of the innovative projects they’re working on, and our industry partners delivered insightful presentations. We were privileged to have Frances Foster-Thorpe and Tim Fountaine as keynote speakers. The panel discussions were particularly engaging, featuring experts from academia and industry who explored the challenges and opportunities in digital transformation.
The message was clear – Digital transformation thrives with the collaboration of both innovative digital leaders and capable digital enablers.
The highlight of the event was two panel discussions Navigating Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Health and Digital Transformation for Sustainable Futures that was very intersting and engaging based on feedback received.
The colloquium provided ample opportunities for networking and also offered tours of our state-of-art labs where groundbreaking research and collaborative activities take place like the Sydney Imaging, Sydney Manufacturing Hub and the Australian Centre for Robotics.
